Physical Education
At Edward Feild School we ensure that every child in every class has at least the required Physical Education available to them during the school week. The children learn to work together in teams as well as how to progress and develop the skills required to lead a healthy active lifestyle. We also believe that physical education and sport are important in giving children the knowledge, understanding and the tools to make a positive impact on their own health and well-being. Children are encouraged to support one another in trying out new skills and achieving their best. We are very active members of the North Oxfordshire School Sports Partnership and have a specialist PE teacher in school every week whose role is to develop our staff's skills in teaching PE.
Edward Feild has been very successful in sporting achievements over the current and previous years and Ofsted noted this as one of the school's key strengths. The school was very proud to be awarded the Gold Sainsbury School Games Award at the end of last year. Regular reports on our sporting activities are in our weekly newsletters and Twitter. The annual report on the use of our PE and Sports Premium funding is on the Statutory Info & Policies page |
